The Mastertool is a standalone program to validate the master file that is exported from your ERP system as an XML file. The XML file is parsed and checked for correctness of the XML structure and content errors. As the case may be adjustment suggestions are shown.
The data are captured with a commercially available handheld bar code scanner, by default. Nonreadable EAN or product numbers can be entered via the keyboard. The individual captured items can manually be edited and deleted.
In the Capturing List all items are consecutively captured and arranged chronologically. The order of items to be collected can be arbitrary. The capturing can be interrupted at any time and resumed at a later date.
In the stock-take summary the quantity, the total number and total value of each item is calculated and clearly displayed. The display of the summary is possible at any time.
If ambiguities exist, you are prompted for correction. Faulty EAN and item numbers are detected and such items are marked red. Orange marked fields point to ambiguities in the summery list.
Both the capturing list and the summary list can be printed. The appearance of the lists can even be freely designed using HTML templates.
By completion of the stock-take, the summary list is saved as an XML file and is thus available for further processing steps. Completed stock-takes (e.g. of past years) can be viewed with Handelsweise Stocktake.
